Highlands Ranch, CO – A tragic collision in Douglas County claimed the life of a pedestrian and his dog on March 16, 2025, when a vehicle veered off the road and struck them on a sidewalk.

Deputies from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) responded to reports of an auto vs. pedestrian crash at approximately 2:54 p.m. near the intersection of Kendrick Castillo Way and Mayberry Drive. Upon arrival, emergency responders pronounced a 31-year-old male dead at the scene.
