SCANDIA, MN — Authorities have identified the victim of a fatal single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning as 23-year-old James Raymond Lowe Jr. of Lindstrom, Minnesota. The tragic accident occurred in the 22600 block of Olinda Trail North in Scandia.
According to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the scene at approximately 3:37 a.m. on June 7, 2025, along with emergency personnel from the Scandia Fire Department and M Health EMS. Upon arrival, first responders found the vehicle heavily damaged and Lowe, the sole occupant, deceased at the scene.
Initial findings suggest that distracted driving was a contributing factor in the crash. Authorities have not disclosed the exact nature of the distraction but confirmed that no other vehicles or individuals were involved.
