According to the Wythe County Sheriff’s Office, the victim of a shooting death in Wythe County has been identified.
Victoria Rose Howell, 44, was discovered dead in her West Ridge Road residence at around one in the morning on Thursday, according to deputies.
Deputies think that Howell had a romantic relationship with 48-year-old Chad Nelson Hawks, who was charged with second-degree murder.
According to deputies, both Hawks and Howell lived in the house where the incident took place.
Hawks is still being held at the New River Regional Jail, where he is also being charged with possessing a handgun.
