49-year-old Adam Bruzgo of Quakertown died after fight near Live! Casino Hotel in South Philadelphia

Philadelphia police have identified the man who died following an apparent physical altercation near the Live! Casino & Hotel in South Philadelphia on Thursday morning.

The victim, 49-year-old Adam Bruzgo of Quakertown, was discovered unresponsive around 8:23 a.m. in a parking lot located at 900 Packer Avenue, just steps away from the bustling entertainment district.

Emergency crews responded to the scene after receiving reports of a disturbance involving a physical confrontation. Upon arrival, officers found Bruzgo lying unresponsive on the ground. He was immediately transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 9:15 a.m.

Authorities say the exact circumstances leading up to Bruzgo’s death remain under active investigation. No weapons were recovered from the scene, and no arrests have been made as of Friday.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the case, treating it as a suspicious death pending further findings from the investigation and autopsy results.
