LAKE TAHOE, CA — Authorities have released the names of the eight individuals who tragically lost their lives in a boating accident on Lake Tahoe on June 21, 2025. The El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office Coroner’s Division confirmed the identities on Monday, following a thorough investigation and next-of-kin notifications.

According to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, the victims were aboard a recreational vessel when the accident occurred. Details about the cause of the crash—whether mechanical failure, operator error, or environmental factors—have not yet been made public.
