At least 13 people shot, 3 confirmed dead after Grays Ferry mass shooting in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA, PA — A mass shooting late Sunday night in the Grays Ferry section of Philadelphia has left three people dead and at least 13 others wounded, according to police sources.

The shooting erupted along the 1200 block of South Etting Street, marking another tragic chapter in what has become a troubling pattern of gun violence in the city.

Philadelphia Police confirmed that multiple victims were rushed to area hospitals — some transported by emergency crews, others by private vehicles — as the number of shooting victims climbed through the night. Investigators said the total number of victims reached into the double digits, with three fatalities confirmed as of Monday morning.

This incident comes on the heels of another mass shooting in the city just one day earlier. On Saturday, eight people were shot in a separate outbreak of violence. Sunday’s shooting marks the third mass shooting in Philadelphia since Memorial Day, when gunfire at Lemon Hill in Fairmount Park killed two and injured 11 others.

A large police presence remains in the Grays Ferry neighborhood as investigators work to process the scene, gather evidence, and identify potential suspects. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the motive behind the shooting remains unknown.

Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. Tips can be submitted anonymously by calling 215-686-TIPS.

Philadelphia officials continue to call for public cooperation and community support as they work to curb the rising tide of gun violence gripping the city.
