BOONSVILLE, Texas — Authorities have released further details about a devastating car accident that claimed the life of 23-year-old Graci Hansen of Wichita Falls and left a young child injured Wednesday morning in Wise County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the fatal crash occurred just before 7 a.m. on Farm Road 920 near Private Road 3738. Investigators said Hansen was driving a 1997 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck southbound when the vehicle veered off course and overturned. Hansen was reportedly ejected from the vehicle during the rollover and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Inside the vehicle with her was a 2-year-old child, who survived the crash but sustained injuries. The toddler was airlifted to Cook Children’s Medical Center in Fort Worth for treatment. Officials have not released the child’s condition but confirmed that emergency crews acted quickly to provide care at the scene before transport.

The DPS continues to investigate what caused the accident, including whether speed, road conditions, or other factors played a role in the deadly rollover. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
