Two individuals were found dead from gunshot wounds in a home in Pleasant Hills, Pennsylvania, on Monday morning. The Allegheny County Police Department responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in the 400 block of Nantucket Drive at 7:21 a.m.
Upon arrival, first responders received no response from inside the residence, prompting the deployment of the South Hills Area Council of Governments (SHACOG) Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT).
After entering the home at 9:21 a.m., authorities discovered the bodies of a father and his adult son, both deceased from single gunshot wounds.
At this time, the identities of the victims have not been publicly released. The Allegheny County Police Department has confirmed that all individuals involved in the incident have been identified, and there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Neighbors reported hearing three gunshots around 7:30 a.m., followed by the arrival of police officers approximately 15 minutes later.
The Allegheny County Police Department’s General Investigations Unit is leading the investigation into the incident. Authorities have urged anyone with information to contact the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS.
As the investigation continues, officials have not released further details.
