27-year-old Tyreque Rasean Morrison killed in Bowling Green shooting at the 200 block of East Heights Avenue

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Authorities in Warren County are investigating a deadly shooting that claimed the life of a 27-year-old man on Saturday afternoon.

According to Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower, deputies responded shortly after 12 p.m. to reports of gunfire in the 200 block of East Heights Avenue. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man has been identified as Tyreque Rasean Morrison, 27, of Bowling Green.

Sheriff Hightower said dispatchers received multiple 911 calls from neighbors reporting the sound of several gunshots and vehicles fleeing the area. Witnesses told investigators they saw at least three cars drive away immediately after the shooting.

In response, sheriff’s deputies, detectives, crime scene processors, and the department’s drone unit were deployed to canvas the area and collect evidence. Investigators spent several hours on scene interviewing witnesses and searching for leads.

No arrests have been made, and the sheriff’s office has not yet released details on potential suspects or a motive. Authorities say they are pursuing several investigative avenues and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

The death of Morrison has left his family and the community grieving. Friends describe him as a young man whose life ended far too soon, with neighbors expressing shock at the violence that disrupted what is usually a quiet residential area.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office asks anyone with surveillance footage or information related to the shooting to contact their office or submit an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
