Nalan Media is live on the scene this morning where an active crime investigation is underway at the intersection of Villa and Tenth Street in Racine following an early morning shooting. As of 10:00 a.m. CDT, the area remains blocked off with a large police presence still in place.

The Racine Police Department Major Crimes Unit is currently leading the investigation and is being supported by the department’s Mobile Command Center parked near the scene. What Happened
According to a witness who spoke exclusively with Nalan Media, the shooting occurred during the early morning hours, with police arriving shortly after 4:00 a.m. The witness described the moment as chaotic and frightening:
“It sounded like the Fourth of July — but this time it wasn’t fireworks. It was gunfire. We had to get down and make sure our family was safe.”
In addition to the gunshots heard, the witness reported that their personal vehicles were damaged during the shooting. One vehicle was left with a bullet hole, and another car had a tire flattened as a result of the gunfire.
