The tight-knit community of Versailles, Ohio is in deep mourning following the heartbreaking death of 8th-grade student Wesley Breeze, who tragically passed away on Saturday, November 1, 2025, after a fatal accident. Wesley attended Versailles Exempted Village Schools and was known as a bright, kind, and joyful young student whose presence brought positivity to everyone he encountered.

School officials confirmed the devastating news late Saturday, releasing a statement with the permission of his family.
“It is with the permission of the family and with a very heavy heart that I share this information,” the district stated. “This afternoon, 8th grader Wesley Breeze passed away. We will have grief counselors available at school tomorrow (Sunday) in the High School gym for students and families who wish to come together in support of each other and of the Breeze family. Anyone is welcome.”
The gym opened at approximately 1:00 p.m. Sunday, and remained available for as long as needed for those coming to share memories, gather in unity, and grieve together.
