The Louisville community is mourning the loss of Jeff Pence, a cherished father, husband, and longtime resident, who passed away unexpectedly in November 2025. He was 65 years old.

Pence, who grew up in Jeffersontown and attended Butler High School, was well known throughout the area for his warm personality, generosity, and strong family values. Friends and relatives say his passing has left a deep void within the community.
Jeff held a lifelong passion for mechanics, motorcycles, and classic cars — especially his Harley-Davidson bikes and red Roush Mustangs, which became trademarks of his adventurous spirit. Those close to him say that his love of vehicles was matched only by his love for family and the friendships he built throughout his life.
He was also widely recognized for his culinary skills, particularly his award-winning chili that became a favorite at family gatherings and community events.
Beyond his hobbies, Jeff is remembered as a mentor, supporter, and someone who always made time for others. He offered guidance, encouragement, and a listening ear to anyone who needed it — traits that made him deeply respected in both his personal and community circles.
Jeff’s family says his legacy will live on through the values he instilled and the care he showed toward others — expressed through conversation, laughter, shared meals, and unforgettable time spent together.
His sudden passing has left loved ones devastated, but his memory will continue to be honored by the many people whose lives he touched.
