JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville community is searching for answers after authorities confirmed that the woman found dead beneath a bridge on Blanding Boulevard Sunday evening has been identified by family as Tiffany Felton.
According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, a passerby who had been fishing in the area spotted Felton’s body around 6:30 p.m. and immediately alerted nearby officers. Deputies responded to the scene and began securing the area as homicide detectives launched an investigation.
Police say the circumstances surrounding Felton’s death remain uncertain, but the case is being treated as a homicide as investigators work to determine what happened. Officials have not released information regarding visible injuries or potential causes, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
