Salt Lake City Community Mourns the Passing of R.A. Long High School Alumnus Robbie Wrathall

SALT LAKE CITY, UT — Family and friends are grieving the loss of Robbie Wrathall, a Salt Lake City resident and R.A. Long High School alumnus whose passing has sent waves of sorrow through the many communities he touched.

Raised in Washington, Wrathall was a proud graduate of R.A. Long High School, where he built lifelong friendships and a reputation for kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength. Former classmates recall him as someone who could make anyone feel welcome, a steady presence whose genuine nature left a lasting impact.

Among those mourning most deeply is longtime friend Justin Haws Faber, who shared a heartbreaking tribute reflecting their 25-year friendship. “My best friend for over 25 years,” he wrote. “I don’t have the words right now. I’ll never have the words. My heart is shattered.” His message echoed the grief felt by many who considered Wrathall not just a friend, but family.

Wrathall was widely known for his warm sense of humor and his unwavering willingness to help others.
