Fordham Park Fatal Stabbing: One Person Dead Following Late-Night Attack in New Cross

A major police investigation is underway after a person was fatally stabbed Tuesday night in Fordham Park, located in the New Cross area of southeast London.

According to the Metropolitan Police, officers were called to reports of a stabbing near Clifton Rise, close to the Fordham Park grounds in New Cross Gate, within the London Borough of Lewisham. Emergency crews responded swiftly, but despite their efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said the attack occurred outside Rosies on Di Hill Yush, a spot known to attract steady late-evening activity. Police immediately sealed off parts of Clifton Rise and areas within Fordham Park as forensic teams began processing the scene and gathering evidence.

As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made. Detectives are continuing to review CCTV footage from surrounding businesses and public areas while officers maintain a strong presence in the neighborhood to reassure local residents.
