The Clarksville community is grieving the sudden loss of Latrice Dodson, 46, who was killed in a motor vehicle accident on December 19, 2025, at approximately 5:45 p.m. on the 101st Airborne Division Parkway, between Peachers Mill Road and the West Fork Bridge.

Dodson, a dedicated crossing guard with the Clarksville Police Department, had been serving the children and families of Kenwood Elementary School and Ringgold Elementary School since August 2025. She was widely respected for her commitment to student safety and her role as a valued member of the school safety team. Colleagues, students, and families remember her devotion, her friendly presence, and the care she showed to every child she helped cross the street.

Authorities report that Dodson was in a vehicle with a driver and a juvenile passenger at the time of the crash; both survived and are currently in stable condition.
