Lailah Austin Obituary-Death News; Local Family Heartbroken After 6 Years Old Drowns
Detectives with the St. Louis City Police Department are investigating a tragic incident that occurred on Saturday, January 18th, 2025.
6yr Old Lailah Austin who was attending a party at the hotel was found unresponsive in the indoor pool of the Element StLouis Midtown hotel located on Forest Park Avenue in the 3700 block. Hotel staff promptly notified the police about the discovery, and the child was rushed to the hospital in critical condition.
Sadly, on Monday, January 20, Lailah passed away. Lailah’s birthday is this Sunday, and she would have been turning 7 years old.
