The Cottage Hill family is deeply saddened by the passing of alumna Morgan Capps of the Class of 2020, CHCA announced via a statement shared on Facebook. Morgan embodied the ideals of Cottage Hill as a diligent student, athlete, and friend. Her contagious smile, kind heart, and positive spirit touched the lives of her classmates and teachers alike. While our hearts are broken, we can find comfort in knowing that Morgan’s faith was in Jesus Christ and that she is with her Savior.

Morgan was a beloved member of the CHCA family, known for her kindness, dedication, and vibrant spirit. Her time at the academy was marked by academic excellence and active participation in various extracurricular activities, reflecting her commitment to personal growth and community involvement.
Family and Personal Life
Morgan is survived by her loving parents, TJ and Diane Capps, and her sister, Nicole Mott, along with Nicole’s husband, Elijah. Her family remembers her as a compassionate and joyful individual who brought light into the lives of those around her.
Celebration of Life
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Cottage Hill Christian Academy, providing an opportunity for family, friends, and the CHCA community to honor and remember Morgan’s life and legacy.

A celebration of Morgan’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, at Cottage Hill Baptist Church. Visitation is at 3:00 pm with the service to follow at 4:00 pm.
