“He’d be the first to knock himself down a peg while simultaneously offering the wisest insight in the room. Our class always had more student chairs pulled up to his desk than Megan’s, Tyler’s, and mine combined. Kids were drawn to him, and he made relationship-building look effortless. There was no doubt that Mr. Mashburn was a class favorite. It was hard to even be upset about it because you could clearly see why. I’m not sure how we’ll navigate without you, but I’ll be searching for your patience, perspective, and understanding to get me through.”
