Westminster, CA – A fatal collision early Saturday morning in Westminster claimed the life of a motorcyclist and led to the arrest of a 24-year-old driver on multiple felony charges, including DUI and hit-and-run, authorities said.
Crash Details
According to the Westminster Police Department, officers responded to a traffic accident at approximately 2:03 AM on March 8, 2025, near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and McFadden Avenue. Upon arrival, authorities found an adult male motorcyclist suffering from severe injuries in the southbound lanes.
Despite efforts from Orange County Fire Authority personnel, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials have not yet released his identity, pending notification of next of kin.
Suspect Arrested After Fleeing Scene
The driver involved in the crash, identified as Abdallah Hussein Ali Eid, a 24-year-old Westminster resident, allegedly fled the scene on foot. However, with the assistance of witnesses, police quickly located and detained him.
After an investigation, officers determined that Eid was behind the wheel at the time of the crash. He was taken into custody and is now facing multiple felony charges, including:
- Felony DUI (California Penal Code 23153(g))
- Felony Hit-and-Run (California Penal Code 20001(a))
- Vehicular Manslaughter (California Penal Code 192(c)(1))
- Driving on a Suspended License (California Vehicle Code 14601.1(a))
