SOCIAL CIRCLE, GA – A tragic accident on Tuesday morning, March 25, 2025, claimed the life of 46-year-old Brian Hix of Covington, Georgia. The fatal collision occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. on the Georgia 11 Bypass (Social Circle Parkway) near Laurel Street.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, Trooper First Class (TFC) Rice was dispatched to the scene following reports of a severe crash. The investigation revealed that a white Dodge Ram truck, traveling north on the bypass, unexpectedly crossed the centerline and collided head-on with a southbound tractor-trailer.
Emergency responders arrived quickly, but despite their efforts, Hix succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured in the crash.
Authorities confirmed that the victim’s next of kin had been notified. As the community mourns the sudden loss of Brian Hix, the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash remains ongoing.
