Butler County, PA – The community is grieving the tragic loss of Ronald Litzinger, 43, of Butler, who lost his life in a devastating motorcycle accident on State Route 422 on Saturday morning.
The Crash Report
According to Butler County 911 dispatchers, emergency responders were called to the scene just after 11 a.m. following reports of a serious motorcycle crash.
The Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) crash report indicates that Litzinger, who was traveling westbound on SR 422, lost control of his motorcycle. Witnesses reported that his motorcycle began “wobbling violently” before he veered left, colliding with the center median barrier. The impact caused him to swerve right, where he struck a guide rail.
Sadly, despite the efforts of first responders, Litzinger did not survive the crash.
As authorities worked to investigate the accident, westbound State Route 422 was briefly shut down at the Mitchell Hill exit.
