According to a press release from the Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Aldin was traveling eastbound on U.S. Route 6 around midday when he attempted to make a turn onto State Route 25. During the turn, he reportedly failed to yield the right of way and was struck by a northbound 2022 Kenworth T680 semi-truck.
The impact of the collision was severe. First responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported, but despite their swift efforts, Aldin Isaiah was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the semi-truck sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition has not been publicly disclosed.
