Jonathan “Brad” Bradley Haislip, a respected project manager in the home improvement industry and a longtime resident of Avon Park, Florida, passed away on August 14, 2024, at the age of 49. Born on April 28, 1975, in Greensboro, North Carolina, Brad moved to Highlands County in 1983 from Delray Beach, Florida. He was known for his dedication to his profession and his active participation in the First Sebring Methodist Church community.
Brad is survived by his loving wife, Emily Haislip; his mother, Beverly Bostick; daughters Rosie and Kylee Haislip; stepdaughter Savannah McCollough; stepsons Tucker McCollough, Colton Herndon, and Matthew Herndon; brothers Dale Haislip (Shannon) and Henry Broxton; sisters Misty Moore (Todd) and Neatha Madden; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Charles Hubert Haislip Jr. and Arthur Bostick, as well as brothers Troy Bostick and Antonio Bostick.
A memorial service honoring Brad’s life was held on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at First Sebring Methodist Church, with visitation beginning at 10:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that memorial contributions be made to The Miracle League for Highlands County, an organization dedicated to providing opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball.
While there has been some confusion online regarding Brad’s association with HGTV’s “Home Town Takeover,” it is important to clarify that he was not affiliated with the show. The mix-up may stem from the involvement of another individual, Jonathan Walters, who served as the general contractor for season three of “Home Town Takeover,” which took place in Sebring, Florida.
Brad Haislip’s legacy lives on through the love and memories shared by his family, friends, and community. His commitment to his work and his community left an indelible mark on those who knew him.
