22-year-old Jocelyn Grace Mollee killed in Bruce Highway horror “could make people laugh”; Bradely Donald Towle arrest & charges

The Sunshine Coast community is reeling after a devastating series of events that began with a fatal crash on the Bruce Highway, tragically claiming the life of 22-year-old Jocelyn Grace Mollee. Described as a vibrant young woman with a brilliant sense of humor and a heart full of kindness, Jocelyn’s death has left her family, friends, and the wider community heartbroken.

The fatal crash occurred when the Nissan Micra Jocelyn was traveling in was struck on the passenger side by a red Porsche Macan. Queensland Police allege that the Porsche was being driven by 41-year-old Bradely Donald Towle at the time of the collision. The impact was catastrophic, and despite emergency efforts, Jocelyn did not survive the crash.

“She was a beautiful young woman, a gentle soul, and a hard worker,” said Jocelyn’s mother, Amanda Chippendale. Through tears, she remembered her daughter as someone who “was going to be a pillar of society” — a young woman with dreams, a wicked sense of humor, a thirst for adventure, and an infectious love for life.

“Jocelyn could make people laugh, she could get even the quietest person talking,” Amanda shared. “She had a deep love for books, nature, and for living each day to its fullest. She wasn’t afraid to be herself and bring joy to everyone around her.”

What made this tragedy even more harrowing was what unfolded after the crash. Authorities allege that Towle, following the collision, fled the scene armed with a gun. He reportedly shot a 62-year-old Good Samaritan who had stopped to assist at the crash site, injuring the man’s arm during an altercation. After firing the shot, Towle allegedly stole the man’s vehicle — a SsangYong Rexton — and fled.

The stolen vehicle was later found crashed at Landsborough, about 20 minutes away. Police quickly launched a manhunt, and Bradely Donald Towle was later arrested and now faces multiple serious charges, including dangerous operation of a vehicle causing death, armed robbery, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, and other firearm offenses.

The news of Jocelyn’s death sent ripples of grief through her hometown. Friends, former teachers, and community members have flooded social media with tributes, remembering her infectious laugh, her genuine spirit, and the joy she brought into every room she entered. Vigils and memorial gatherings are being organized to honor her memory.

Her mother Amanda spoke for many when she said, “We’ve lost someone truly special. Jocelyn was the kind of person you only meet once in a lifetime. Our hearts are shattered, but we know she would want us to hold onto each other, to laugh, and to find light even in the darkest days — just like she always did.”

A memorial service for Jocelyn Grace Mollee will be announced in the coming days, where family, friends, and the community will come together to celebrate the life of a young woman whose time was tragically cut short but whose spirit will never be forgotten.

Meanwhile, investigations into the crash and subsequent events are ongoing as the community continues to mourn and seek justice for Jocelyn.
