Pinon Hills, CA — A tragic traffic collision on Thursday afternoon has claimed the life of a local man who was not only a dedicated family man but a beloved member of the community. Officials have confirmed that 39-year-old Joshua Workman, a resident of Pinon Hills, succumbed to injuries sustained in a motorcycle crash on April 24, 2025.
The collision occurred at approximately 1:27 p.m. in the 3700 block of Phelan Road, directly in front of El Patron Family Restaurant. According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), Joshua Workman was riding his 2018 Harley-Davidson Street Glide westbound on Phelan Road when he collided with a black Honda Civic. Preliminary reports indicate the Civic was preparing to make a left turn onto Lebec Road at the time of the crash.
Emergency responders were quickly dispatched to the scene, and Workman was transported by ground ambulance to Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. Despite the efforts of first responders and medical staff, he was pronounced deceased shortly after his arrival.
The driver of the Honda, described as an adult female, sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
