Caleb Bullock Suicide – Obituary Ohio: Thomas Worthington High School community mourn the unexpected loss of graduate, Caleb Bullock

Worthington, OH — With broken hearts and immense sorrow, the Thomas Worthington High School community is mourning the tragic and unexpected passing of Caleb Bullock, a beloved graduate, friend, son, and classmate. Caleb died by suicide, leaving behind a grieving family and a wide circle of friends who are now left to carry the weight of this tremendous loss.

The Cardinal Community is mourning the loss of one of its very own. Caleb Bullock was a Thomas Worthington student who suddenly passed away over this weekend after he took his own life. Caleb was loved by many and will be greatly missed by many. We encourage anyone who is struggling, to reach a trusted person, as well use the 988 hotline for 24/7 support.”

A recent graduate of Thomas Worthington High School, Caleb was known for his warm spirit, his deep sense of compassion, and a quiet strength that drew people to him. His presence in the halls of the school was felt not only through his academics and activities but through the way he showed up for others — always with a kind word, a helping hand, or simply a listening ear.

Friends and former classmates remember Caleb as thoughtful, funny, and deeply empathetic — someone who made it a point to check on others, to spread positivity even when he was struggling himself. Whether it was a shared joke during a stressful class, staying after to help a friend with homework, or offering encouragement on a tough day, Caleb had a way of making people feel like they mattered.

Those closest to him describe a young man full of heart — introspective, creative, and deeply human. He had dreams and plans for the future, and a sincerity that made him wise beyond his years. He was more than a student or a peer — he was a brother, a son, a light in the lives of those who knew him.

His passing has sent shockwaves through the Thomas Worthington community, where grief counselors and support staff have been made available to help students and faculty process the loss. Administrators and teachers have spoken of Caleb’s quiet leadership and his ability to leave a lasting impression in both small moments and significant ways.

While words may fall short in times like these, the love pouring in from classmates, neighbors, and friends is a testament to just how much Caleb meant to those around him. His absence will be deeply felt in every classroom he once sat in, every hallway he once walked, and every heart he ever touched.

As we remember Caleb, let us also honor his life by carrying forward the values he lived by — kindness, compassion, and authenticity. Let us also be reminded of the importance of mental health, and the urgent need to support one another, especially when the struggle is invisible.

To Caleb: You were loved more than words can say. Your life mattered. You made this world a better place, and though your time here was far too short, your legacy of love and light will live on.
