A tragic crash early Sunday morning in Dover-Foxcroft claimed the life of a 22-year-old woman and left a 23-year-old man with serious injuries.
According to the Dover-Foxcroft Police Department, Jersie Worley-Stewart of St. Albans was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, Isaac Weymouth, also from St. Albans, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted by LifeFlight to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor for treatment.
The single-vehicle accident occurred around 1:20 a.m. near 1408 Dexter Road. Authorities are actively investigating the incident.
Responding agencies included the Piscataquis County Sheriff’s Office, Maine State Police, Dover-Foxcroft Fire Department, Sangerville Fire Department, Mayo Ambulance, and LifeFlight of Maine.
