Harris County Sheriff’s deputies are responding to a reported shooting at a Walmart in the Katy area, according to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. The incident took place at the Walmart located near Grand Parkway and Morton Road, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.

Sheriff Gonzalez classified the situation as an “active shooter” event, though preliminary reports confirm no injuries have been reported.

Authorities stated the suspect fled the scene on foot before deputies arrived. A perimeter has been established as law enforcement continues their search for the individual.
