SAUBLE BEACH, ONTARIO — The South Bruce Peninsula community is reeling from the sudden and tragic loss of 18-year-old Jayse Partington, who died following a single-vehicle crash near Hepworth early Friday morning, June 6, 2025.
According to Grey Bruce OPP, officers responded to the scene just after 3 a.m. on Spring Creek Road, west of Hepworth. Two individuals were involved in the crash. Jayse was transported to hospital with critical injuries but sadly succumbed later that morning. A second individual remains hospitalized with serious injuries.
In a statement issued Friday, police confirmed that Spring Creek Road remained closed between Legion Road and Allenford Road as the West Region Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team conducted a full investigation. In a message posted by the Lakeview Vendor Markets, a group Jayse’s family has long supported, organizers wrote:
“All of our thoughts and prayers are going out to Shelley and Tracie Partington on the unimaginable loss of their son, Jayse. You’ve been huge supporters of us and this community, and now the community is wrapping its arms around you with love and healing hugs. Everyone is here to help if you need it. Rest easy, Jayse.”
