Clackamas County, Ore. — Authorities are investigating a devastating single-vehicle motorcycle crash that left 22-year-old Akahieleu Redo of Oregon City dead on Sunday morning, November 16, 2025. The fatal incident unfolded at approximately 8:39 a.m. along a winding stretch of Highway 224 near milepost 14.

According to Oregon State Police, Redo had been traveling westbound on a Yamaha R6 when he appeared to lose control while entering a curve. Investigators say the motorcycle veered off the roadway, striking a mound of dirt with immense force. The impact propelled both Redo and the motorcycle into the air before they ultimately came to rest in a nearby tree.
Emergency crews responded swiftly, including troopers, medical personnel, and fire units, but Redo suffered catastrophic injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. No other vehicles were involved.
The crash prompted a partial closure of Highway 224 for nearly two hours as investigators documented the scene and crews worked to safely clear debris. Oregon State Police were supported by the Clackamas Brush Fire Unit 312 and the Oregon Department of Transportation during the response.
The sudden loss of the young motorcyclist has deeply impacted the Oregon City community and those who frequently travel the rural corridor of Highway 224. As the investigation continues, authorities are working to determine the factors that may have contributed to the crash.
Friends, family, and community members now mourn a life cut tragically short on a quiet Sunday morning.
