AnnaMae, a beloved cousin, friend, and cherished member of the Dallas community, passed away surrounded by love after years of fighting a quiet battle marked by resilience, strength, and grace.
AnnaMae’s journey began several years ago when she was first diagnosed with a brain tumor. Despite the challenges she faced, she refused to let the illness define her spirit. She embraced life with the same radiant smile and infectious energy that those closest to her knew and loved. Whether it was dancing, cracking jokes, or simply going for a ride to enjoy the world around her, AnnaMae made every moment count.
“She didn’t want people to feel sorry for her,” a close family member shared. “She wanted to be remembered the way she lived—always smiling, always dancing, always bringing good genuine energy wherever she went.”
In late 2024, AnnaMae underwent her most recent surgery, just before Christmas. Unfortunately, complications led to an extended stay in a rehabilitation center where she fought valiantly to recover. Her family remained by her side throughout the process, holding on to hope and lifting her up in prayer. Though recovery seemed just out of reach, they never stopped believing in her strength. In the end, however, God had other plans.
Out of respect for AnnaMae’s wishes, her battle was kept largely private. She preferred it that way—never one to draw attention to herself or invite pity. She asked to be remembered for the joy she spread and the light she brought to others.
AnnaMae’s passing is a deep loss to all who knew her. Her presence was a gift: full of laughter, warmth, and a kindness that left a lasting impression.
