Blair Hearn Obituary Clinton, Mississippi: In loving memory of 21-year-old woman who died in tragic Sunday crash

CLINTON, MS — The community of Clinton and beyond is mourning the heartbreaking loss of 21-year-old Elizabeth Blair Hearn, lovingly known as “Blair Bear,” who passed away unexpectedly following a tragic car accident on Sunday, April 13, 2025.

Blair was a vibrant, kind-hearted young woman whose energy lit up every room she entered. Born on January 7, 2004, she was known for her warm spirit and infectious positivity. Whether complimenting a stranger’s outfit or sharing a kind word, Blair had an unmatched gift for making others feel seen, appreciated, and uplifted.

A lifelong resident of Mississippi, Blair began her education at Morrison Heights in Vicksburg and later attended Clinton Public Schools from first through twelfth grade. She was a proud member of the Clinton Arrow Band, where she played the trumpet, and developed a love for culinary arts in her final years of high school. She especially enjoyed watching drumline competitions and was passionate about music and creativity.

Blair had a zest for life that touched all aspects of her personality. She had a deep love for her sleek 370Z sports car, particularly its loud exhaust—a reflection of her bold and joyful personality. She often attended local Cars and Coffee events, where she bonded with fellow car enthusiasts. Blair also found great peace and happiness in the outdoors. Her favorite destination was St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, a place she visited as often as possible and held close to her heart.

At the center of Blair’s world was her beloved boyfriend, Wade “Max” Thornhill. The couple shared a deep bond, and Blair’s family describes Max as “her life.” Max is currently undergoing recovery at the University of South Alabama in Mobile following the same tragic accident. The family asks for continued prayers and support as he faces a difficult journey toward healing.

Blair’s memory will live on through her many loved ones. She is survived by her mother Becki Hearn, her father Chris Hearn, and her sister Lexi Hearn. She is also mourned by her grandparents Charlene Hearn, Pam Holman, and Preston Holman; her aunts and uncles Buddy Hearn (Paula), Holly Gosnell (David), and PJ Holman (Amanda); and a host of cousins who loved her dearly: Jayce, Brae, and Ridley Holman, Kylee, Ethan, and Avery Gosnell, and Derek, Dallas, Skyla, and Siera Hearn.

She is preceded in death by her beloved papaw Wayne O. Hearn, great-grandmother Shirley Lawrence, and Aunt Diane Scallions.

A visitation for Blair Hearn will be held Friday, April 19, 2025, from 9 to 11 a.m. at Glenwood Funeral Home in Vicksburg, with a service to follow immediately after.

Pallbearers include Chris Hearn, Derek Hearn, Dallas Hearn, Jayce Holman, Reed Nelson, Parish Coleman, Carson Denton, and Kamron Brown. Honorary pallbearers include Max Thornhill, Wayne Hearn, Buddy Hearn, Gabriel Mundo, Preston Holman, P.J. Holman, David Gosnell, Christian Landcaster, and Shea Walls.

Blair’s radiant presence, her compassion, and the joyful memories she shared with so many will never be forgotten. The Clinton community and all who knew her now carry the weight of her loss—but also the lasting warmth of her light.
