The Wichita Falls community is grieving the tragic loss of Brad Boddy, a devoted educator and highly respected community member who died after being struck by a vehicle on Christmas Day, December 25, 2025.

According to the Wichita Falls Police Department, officers responded to a vehicle-pedestrian crash around 6:18 p.m. in the 6700 block of Southwest Parkway. Investigators stated that a vehicle traveling northbound in the left lane failed to see Mr. Boddy as he crossed the roadway from east to west, resulting in the collision.
Emergency responders transported Mr. Boddy to United Regional Health Care System on 11th Street, where he received medical treatment. Despite life-saving efforts, he later passed away from his injuries.
Mr. Boddy was 69 years old. He served as a special education teacher at Memorial High School, where he was deeply admired for his patience, compassion, and unwavering commitment to his students. Known for putting students first, he was especially dedicated to supporting those with the greatest needs, leaving a lasting impression on countless young lives.
In a statement, the Wichita Falls Independent School District expressed profound sorrow over his passing, describing Mr. Boddy as a passionate educator whose influence extended far beyond the classroom. The district extended its heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and the Memorial High School community.
