Brytni Elliott and Spencer Elliot Car Accident Texas: The general Keller ISD community mourn the loss of baseball coach wife following Boat Club road crash that also left him fighting for life

KELLER, TX — The Keller Independent School District community is grieving after a devastating crash on Boat Club Road claimed the life of Brytni Elliott, wife of Keller High School baseball coach Spencer Elliott, and left both the coach and one of their daughters hospitalized with serious injuries.

The tragic collision occurred Saturday evening when the Elliott family’s SUV was struck head-on by a pickup truck driven by an allegedly intoxicated driver. The impact proved fatal for Brytni, while Coach Elliott and the couple’s middle daughter were critically injured. Authorities confirmed that both underwent surgeries earlier today and are expected to recover, though their road to healing will be long and difficult.

The driver of the pickup truck, whose identity has not yet been released by Fort Worth Police, was also critically injured in the accident. Records indicate that the driver is facing two charges of intoxication assault and one charge of intoxication manslaughter, charges that underscore the devastating consequences of driving under the influence.

For Keller ISD and the larger community, the loss is immeasurable. On Sunday evening, as the sun set behind the home field stands at the Keller ISD Athletic Complex, hundreds of students, faculty, parents, and community members gathered at the 50-yard line in a moving prayer vigil for the Elliott family. Tears, embraces, and heartfelt prayers filled the stadium as classmates, colleagues, and friends united in grief and hope.

“Please keep the Elliott family in your prayers,” one attendee shared. “Brytni was a dear friend, and she will be missed beyond words. I know she is rejoicing with the Lord, but the pain of her absence is unbearable.”

Brytni was remembered as a devoted wife, mother, and friend whose faith and kindness touched countless lives. Her presence in the Keller ISD community extended beyond the stands, as she was a constant supporter of her husband’s coaching career and their children’s activities.

For Coach Spencer Elliott, the tragedy comes in the middle of a career dedicated to building not just athletes, but young men of character. Known for his mentorship, leadership, and love for the game of baseball, he now faces a personal battle of recovery while mourning the loss of his partner in life.

Keller High Athletics issued a statement expressing their sorrow and solidarity:

“The entire Keller ISD family is heartbroken by this tragedy. Brytni was deeply loved, and her absence leaves a void that cannot be filled. We ask everyone to lift up Coach Elliott, his daughters, and their entire family in your thoughts and prayers as they navigate the difficult days ahead.”

The crash has reignited conversations about the dangers of drunk driving, a tragedy that continues to claim lives across Texas and the nation. For the Elliott family and their extended circle of loved ones, the consequences have struck unbearably close to home.

Funeral arrangements for Brytni Elliott have not yet been announced. In the meantime, the Keller ISD community continues to rally around the family with prayer, support, and the promise to stand beside them in their grief and recovery.
