Cayden Morgan Casanova Obituary: 17-year-old found dead following shooting incident in north Charlotte

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department is investigating the tragic death of 17-year-old Cayden Morgan Casanova, who was found with a gunshot wound in north Charlotte on Saturday, January 18, 2024.

Authorities reported receiving a call for assistance shortly after 4 p.m. and responded, along with Medic, to Hollow Creek Circle near Odell School Road. Upon arrival, emergency responders found Casanova suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite their efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding Casanova’s death remain under investigation, with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department actively working to determine the events leading to this heartbreaking incident.
