OMAHA, NE — The Skutt Catholic High School community is grieving the heartbreaking and untimely loss of DeLainey “Lainey” Foral, a cherished member of the Class of 2026, who tragically passed away in an ATV accident over the weekend.
DeLainey, known affectionately to friends and family as “Lainey,” was a bright light on campus—a kind-hearted, intelligent, and compassionate young woman whose joyful spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her sudden passing has sent waves of sorrow through her school, community, and the many lives she touched in her short time on Earth.
On Monday night, hundreds gathered at Moylan Field for a rosary service in her honor, uniting in prayer and remembrance under a canopy of shared grief and love. Candles lit the field as classmates, teachers, family members, and friends embraced, wept, and celebrated the life of a young woman gone too soon. The SkyHawk community stood shoulder to shoulder, honoring a classmate whose presence was as radiant as it was deeply missed.
Lainey was more than just a student—she was a loyal friend, a loving daughter and sister, and a spirited soul with a heart full of grace. Whether she was helping a peer, laughing with her friends, or lending an ear to someone in need, Lainey was always someone you could count on. Her friends describe her as “genuine,” “sweet,” and “the kind of person who made you feel seen.”
