Desmond Wilson, Glenn Wheaton and Evan Finnegan Car Accident: 14-year-old Detroit boy killed in Fond du Lac County crash resulting from roadside argument

The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office released the identities of those involved in a fatal roadside crash on Wednesday night, along with additional details about the incident.

The crash occurred on the median side of Interstate 41 when a southbound vehicle collided with a stopped car, fatally striking a passenger who was outside the vehicle.

According to the investigation, the occupants of the stopped car were arguing, leading the driver to pull over partially in the lane of traffic. The individuals exited the vehicle to continue their argument on the side of I-41.

The victim, a 14-year-old boy from Detroit, Michigan, stepped out of the car’s passenger side and into the lane of traffic, where he was struck and killed by the oncoming vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office identified those involved as follows:

  • Glenn Wheaton, 59, of Detroit, Michigan – Driver of the stopped vehicle
  • Desmond Wilson, 31, of Detroit, Michigan – Front passenger of the stopped vehicle
  • A 15-year-old girl from Detroit, Michigan – Rear passenger of the stopped vehicle
  • A 14-year-old boy from Detroit, Michigan – Rear passenger and the victim
  • Evan Finnegan, 20, of Wauwatosa – Driver of the striking vehicle
