With profound sorrow and deep love, the family of Devin Bernard Thomson announces his peaceful passing at the age of 30, surrounded by those who loved him most at LHSC – Victoria Hospital.
Born and raised in Wartburg, Devin was the cherished son of James and Mary (White) Thomson, and a devoted brother to Deanne Thomson and her partner Jamie Moeser. He is also lovingly remembered by his most loyal companion, his dog Dixie, who rarely left his side and shared countless adventures and quiet moments with him.
Devin leaves behind a legacy of kindness, loyalty, and compassion. His radiant smile and warm personality touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. To his family and friends, Devin was more than just a son, brother, or friend—he was a constant source of love, humor, and unwavering support. He had a heart that always put others first, and a soul that radiated joy and generosity.
He will be deeply missed by his grandmother Joanne Godden, along with many aunts, uncles, and cousins who cherished him dearly. Devin was predeceased by his grandparents John and Mildred Thomson, Bernard and Shirley White, and his grandfather Gerry Godden, all of whom now welcome him with open arms.
Devin’s life was defined not only by the love he gave but by the light he brought into every room. Whether through a kind word, a helping hand, or simply his presence, he made life better for those around him. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
As his family grieves this unimaginable loss, they take comfort in knowing that Devin’s spirit remains a guiding force in their lives. His legacy will forever be one of love, laughter, and the importance of cherishing every moment with those we hold dear.
Rest easy, Devin. You were truly one of a kind.
