Donald Bogacz Death: 71-year-old woman arrested following murder of 76-year-old husband on White Eagle Court, Omaha

Omaha police are investigating a homicide after a man was found dead inside a residence Monday evening, leading to the arrest of his spouse.

According to an Omaha Police Department news release, officers were dispatched to a home in the 8400 block of White Eagle Court at approximately 7:57 p.m. on Monday, December 29, 2025, to conduct a welfare check. When officers arrived at the residence, they discovered 76-year-old Donald Bogacz deceased inside the home.

Authorities identified the suspect as the victim’s spouse, 71-year-old Brenda Bogacz. Police confirmed that she was taken into custody and later booked into jail on a charge of criminal homicide. No additional details regarding the circumstances leading up to the death have been released at this time.

The incident has been classified as a homicide, and investigators remain on scene or actively following up on leads as part of the ongoing investigation. Police have not disclosed what prompted the welfare check or whether there were prior calls for service at the residence.
