Eyerman died Wednesday night following a medical emergency while driving on the South Cross Valley Expressway near Exit 3. Initial reports suggested a motor vehicle accident, but when first responders arrived around 9:00 p.m., the situation quickly shifted to a medical response. Eyerman was transported to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
