Perryville, AR — The Perryville community is grieving the tragic loss of Elijah Lansford, a 27-year-old resident whose life was cut short in a devastating three-vehicle accident on State Highway 5 near the Owensville Cutoff in Lonsdale, Arkansas, on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
According to the Arkansas Department of Public Safety, the accident occurred around 12:42 p.m. when a Chevrolet C4500 rear-ended a Chevy Cruze traveling westbound. The impact pushed the Cruze into the path of an eastbound Ford F-350, which struck the passenger side of the Cruze. The vehicle then veered off the road and collided with a tree.
Elijah Lansford, a passenger in the Cruze, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 69-year-old Steven Lansford of Orange, California, was transported to Saline Memorial Hospital in Benton with unspecified injuries.
