ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A tragic shooting late Saturday night has claimed the life of a 13-year-old boy in St. Petersburg, according to the St. Petersburg Police Department.
Authorities say the victim, identified as Jaden Hill, was standing in the driveway of a home located at 2421 11th Street South when he was struck by gunfire shortly after 11 p.m. The shots reportedly came from an unknown vehicle, which fled the scene immediately after the incident.
Jaden was rushed to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, but despite efforts to save him, he was later pronounced dead.
As of now, police have not released a description of the vehicle involved, and no suspects have been identified. Investigators are continuing to collect evidence and canvass the neighborhood for leads.
