With heavy hearts, we share the sudden passing of our dear friend and esteemed colleague, Dr. Gregory L. DeSanto, on February 9, 2025.
A native of Rochester, Minnesota, Dr. DeSanto embarked on his academic journey at the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, graduating in 1980. He went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Minnesota before beginning an Internal Medicine internship in Tucson, Arizona. It was during this time that he developed a deep connection to Arizona and made the decision to build both his life and medical career there. In 1986, he redirected his focus to Obstetrics and Gynecology, completing his residency at UCLA/Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Beverly Hills in 1990.
Dr. DeSanto had a profound passion for high-risk obstetrics, ultrasound, and endoscopic surgery. As a founding member of Camelback Women’s Health, he dedicated his career to providing outstanding and compassionate care to his patients, leaving a lasting impact on the lives of countless individuals.
Beyond his professional achievements, he was a devoted father to his three children, cherishing every moment spent with them. His kindness, dedication, and unwavering support enriched the lives of his family, friends, and colleagues.
Dr. DeSanto’s passing is an immense loss to all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of excellence, compassion, and generosity will not be forgotten.
