Ian Pequignot Pool Accident Ohio: Family and friends tributes in loving memory of 7-year-old who drowned while snorkeling in pool

Morgan Township, OH — A tragic accident in Morgan Township has claimed the life of 7-year-old Ian Pequignot, who drowned while snorkeling in a pool on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office, Ian was swimming with several other children under adult supervision at a private residence on Timber Walk Lane around 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. At some point during the swim, Ian’s mother noticed he had not resurfaced from snorkeling.

Authorities say Ian’s mother immediately jumped into the deep end of the pool in a desperate attempt to save her son. Deputies from the Butler County Sheriff’s Office arrived at the scene, and the Morgan Township Life Squad worked tirelessly to revive Ian before he was rushed to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, Ian was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

Family and friends have expressed their heartbreak over the loss of the young boy. Tributes have poured in from loved ones, offering prayers and support to Ian’s grieving family.

The Butler County Sheriff’s Office has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the drowning. At this time, it is unclear whether any foul play was involved, but authorities are working to gather additional information.
