Montgomery, AL – The city of Montgomery is mourning the devastating loss of one of its most inspiring entrepreneurs, Travis Jackson, CEO and founder of RichLife Clothing, who was tragically shot and killed on Friday night, April 11, 2025. He was just beginning a new chapter of life—as a husband, a father-to-be, and a man whose passion for fashion and community made a lasting mark.
The Montgomery Police Department confirmed that officers and medics responded to the 1500 block of Hale Street shortly before 9 p.m. on Friday following reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they found Jackson suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound. He was quickly transported to a local hospital but, despite medical efforts, he succumbed to his injuries.
Travis was more than just a businessman—he was a visionary. As the CEO of RichLife Clothing, a popular urban apparel brand based in Eastdale Mall, Jackson built his brand from the ground up. Known for his relentless work ethic, creativity, and commitment to authenticity, Travis turned his passion for fashion into a symbol of culture, resilience, and pride in the Montgomery community.
Brian Smith, General Manager of Eastdale Mall, spoke on behalf of the mall and the wider business community, expressing heartbreak over the senseless loss.
