The Fall River community is grieving the sudden and tragic loss of Jordyn Lyttle, 34, who was killed in a hit-and-run accident while riding his bicycle on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

According to Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III, Fall River Police were called to 214 Stafford Road at approximately 5:15 p.m. following reports of a bicyclist struck by a motor vehicle. First responders found Lyttle in the roadway with severe injuries. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased. Friends, family, and community members remember Lyttle as a kind, vibrant, and well-loved member of the Fall River community whose sudden passing has left an immense void.
Preliminary investigations indicate that Lyttle was riding his bicycle when he was struck from behind by a green 2005 Subaru Legacy, which fled the scene. A second vehicle became involved after Lyttle entered the opposite lane; the driver of that vehicle remained at the scene.
Detectives from the Massachusetts State Police, working alongside Fall River Police and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run vehicle to come forward to assist in the ongoing investigation.
As the community mourns, officials emphasize the importance of vigilance and support for the victim’s family and friends. Fall River residents are coming together to honor Lyttle’s memory while awaiting answers and justice in this devastating tragedy.
