Charlton Craig Liner, DOB 06/08/63, is in custody and being charged with the murder of his ex-wife, Karen Liner.
Liner has been charged with First Degree Murder and Felony Murder. He is being held at the Bradley County Justice Center with no bond.
According to reports, police responded to a 911 call at approximately 8:44 a.m. at a residence located at 135 Arthur Lane NW. Upon arrival, officers discovered a deceased female. Karen Liner’s death is being investigated as a homicide.
Karen, a realtor with Bender Realty in Cleveland, was known as a certified luxury home marketing specialist and a seller representative specialist. She had been with the firm for over four years, earning respect for her professionalism and dedication.
Authorities have identified a person of interest in Karen Liner’s death, although the individual’s identity has not been disclosed.
Karen’s realtor.com profile highlights her life and career. She was married to Craig Liner, with whom she shared two children, Asher and Ariana Liner. Craig is a licensed pharmacist and patient care professional at CHI Health, a role he has held for more than a decade. His career includes positions as a clinical consulting pharmacist at Omnicare and a pharmacy manager at Rite Aid and CVS.
Craig earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from Lee University, where he met Karen, who also completed her Biological Science degree there. Craig later pursued a Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Auburn University, while Karen obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.
Before becoming a realtor, Karen spent two decades working as a nurse. She wrote on her realtor.com profile, “I worked locally as a nurse for 20 years. After taking a few years off to be home with my family, I decided to pursue another passion of mine, becoming a real estate agent.”
The Cleveland community is mourning Karen’s untimely death.
