Ken Flores Obituary: Chicago standup comedian Kenyi “Ken” Flores found dead in Los Angeles apartment

The beloved stand-up comedian from Chicago, Ken Flores, passed away. He was twenty-eight. “We confirm the untimely passing of our friend, brother, and son, Kenyi Flores, with great sadness,” his family said in a statement posted on the comedian’s official Instagram. We are all stunned and heartbroken by this loss, so please respect our privacy during this time.

The cause of death is yet unknown.

On January 25, the comedian, who was traveling the United States on his Butterfly Effect Tour, made an appearance in Norcross, Georgia. His next performance was set for January 30 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Before his family relocated to Aurora, Flores, who was born in Chicago in 1996, grew up in the Humboldt Park neighborhood. He began by creating videos for YouTube, and a few of them went viral on World Star Hip Hop.

Flores discovered her passion for open mic at the Comedy Shrine, a local venue, when she was 22 years old and employed at a PNC Bank. He told Comedy Gazelle, “You get hit by the standup bug and you get addicted after that one big pop.” “I couldn’t stop since I went up for the first time.”

He then established himself as a mainstay of the Chicago comedy scene, frequently performing at the Hollywood Improv and Zanies Comedy Club while touring the nation.

“We were honored to share your talent on our stages,” the Hollywood Improv wrote in its X homage to Flores. It was only a matter of time until the entire world realized how great you were. To everyone fortunate enough to know you, you were also a wonderful friend and nice person. Thank you for all the laughs, Ken; you are loved.
