Kozyrev Artem Car Accident: Family and Friends Pay Tribute to Former Philadelphia Blazers Youth Hockey Player Killed in Fatal Crash

The Philadelphia hockey community is grieving the heartbreaking loss of 16-year-old Kozyrev Artem, a former player with the Philadelphia Blazers Youth Ice Hockey program, who tragically died in a recent car accident. His sudden and unexpected passing has left teammates, coaches, friends, and family devastated, struggling to comprehend the loss of a young life filled with promise, potential, and a future that was just beginning.

Remembering Artem

During his time with the Blazers, Artem became known not only for his skill on the ice, but for the person he was off of it. Loved ones say Artem possessed the kind of light and genuine character rarely found at such a young age. He was admired for his determination, his competitive drive, and the relentless passion he brought to every game and practice.

Coaches recall his leadership, his drive to improve, and the way he uplifted teammates through encouragement, humor, and loyalty. Friends describe him as someone whose positivity was contagious — a young man who could walk into a locker room or step onto the ice and instantly shift the energy around him for the better.

A Loss Felt Across the Hockey Community

Artem’s impact extended far beyond the rink. He was the type of young man who cared deeply for others, someone always willing to support a teammate, check on a friend, or brighten someone’s day with a joke, a smile, or a thoughtful gesture. His absence has left an enormous void in the lives of those who loved him.

The Philadelphia Blazers organization shared condolences and support for the family as the hockey community continues to wrap their arms around those closest to Artem during this unbearable season of grief.

In an effort to assist the family with funeral expenses and unexpected financial burdens, a GoFundMe has been created. Supporters are encouraged to help however they can as the community comes together to honor his memory and support those left behind during this unimaginable tragedy.

Forever #17

Artem will forever be remembered not for how he left this world, but for the love, joy, and remarkable spirit he shared during his time here. His jersey number, #17, will continue to symbolize the legacy he leaves behind — a legacy of heart, kindness, dedication, and the incredible impact one young person can have on those around them.

Rest in peace, Artem. You will never be forgotten.
